I’ve been a passionate reader for over 20 years and believe stories have the power to shape us. But after my first daughter was born in 2020, I learned how hard it is to read in the middle of motherhood, work, and everyday life.

That’s why I started Fruitful Reader, to help women like me rediscover the joy of reading clean, uplifting books. But I noticed something missing: a supportive, intentional book club made for women who love clean stories and crave real connection.

So I listened to readers, gathered their dreams for a better book club, and created Cozy Escape Book Club. Since then, I’ve helped women get out of slumps, finish books they love, and find joy again in reading.

What if I can’t read the books this month?
No problem! There’s never pressure to finish. You can still join the conversation, hang out with the community, and enjoy the extras.

What if I don’t like one of the books?
You have options! We offer two clean picks each month in different genres, plus our famous “It’s Okay to Skip” policy.

You can pick another book from the monthly poll or just enjoy the fun extras in the club.
Do people actually talk about the books?
Yes, but in a relaxed, no-pop-quiz way (no wine culture here). We share our favorite moments, what made us think, and even what we didn’t love.

You’ll feel like you’re talking with friends, not taking a test.
What if I’m shy or introverted?
You’ll fit right in. You’ll get discussion questions ahead of time, you can keep your camera off, and you can join the discussions at your own pace.

And if you do hop on a live chat, no makeup, pajamas, and messy life are totally welcome.

I’m more of a lurker, do I have to post or speak up?
Nope. You can join discussions quietly, read others’ thoughts, and still feel part of the community without ever jumping on a live Google Meet call.
I mostly read in certain genres, will I still enjoy the picks?
Yes! We offer two different genres every month, so you can stretch your reading in fun ways without stepping outside your comfort zone on values. You might even discover new favorites.

Who are you to lead a book club like this? What makes you qualified?
I’m Kassidy, a lifelong reader, book blogger at Fruitful Reader, and someone who knows what it’s like to crave clean, uplifting books in the middle of a busy life.

I’ve spent 20+ years reading across genres, built a thriving blog community, and designed this club to be exactly what I wished existed: a cozy, values-aligned space where women can enjoy stories together without pressure.

No, this isn’t a subscription box; you’ll choose how and where to get the books we read.
